Since the launch of Campaign 4, new Dungeon Master Brennan Mulligan has kept fans guessing with deep backstory, a wide array of characters, and a exciting storyline showcasing angels, demons, and dark forces growing in power within the city.
Note: Revealing details for Episode 3 of Campaign 4 are included.
The Soldiers Table Revealed
The latest chapter finished on a dramatic pause and presented the initial group of heroes who will split off from the central cast to begin their independent quest, apart from the remaining groups.
The Soldiers table features the determined fighter (portrayed by Travis), the agile character (Laura Bailey), the fierce warrior (the cast member), the cleric (the player), and the mysterious adventurer (the actor).
Dividing the Cast
Considering a large ensemble, it was obvious from the outset that having everyone at the same party would be unfeasible.
That’s why, the first four episodes of this story serve as an Overture, weaving together the characters’ stories before splitting into three separate parties: Fighters, Planners, and Explorers.
The Nature of the Soldiers Table
As described by Brennan Lee Mulligan, the warrior group is for participants who are drawn to a traditionally charged fight-heavy story mode where non-violent answers are rare.
Initially, characters like the squeamish cleric the cleric might look mismatched, but the actions of episode 3 make it clear why these particular heroes are ideally matched for the combat party.
Reasons to Leave
For one thing, the group has a clear idea where to proceed after a brutal initial meeting with the enemy group.
An old friend of the deceased character—whose death initiated the story’s plot—used the enemy for his selfish purposes, invading the hidden lair, attacking Thimble, and stealing all the enchanted items to sell off.
Casimir then paid off his debts and escaped to a Halovar stronghouse in Gormalay, Timmony, north of the urban center, with Cyd Pridesire hot on his heels.
Personal Motivations
Additionally, each character has a personal reason to leave the city the metropolitan area:
- The rogue, as Thjazi’s partner and closest confidant, wants vengeance.
- The knowledgeable figure has experience in the northern area and warns that it is a hostile environment.
- Tyranny and Wicander, having defied his relatives’ demands to execute Teor and instead rescued him, have no safe haven.
- However, their position as prominent individuals in the influential clan could help the team enter areas they normally couldn’t.
- Additionally, The grateful character swore a life debt to The savior for his deliverance and will now follow him everywhere.
Wanted and Hunted
Finally, all of them are sought by the rulers that rule the setting for a multiple motives, making staying in the city no longer safe:
- Thimble and Kattigan are recognized lawbreakers.
- The warrior and The cleric betrayed the powerful family and the army of fiends they are allied with.
- The fighter is wanted dead by the family.
This means them no alternative but to journey toward the remote area in search of the traitor.
